February 20 BOC Meeting Recap
The February 20 meeting was very short and mostly concerned with "housekeeping" chores.
The one agenda item of interest, to discuss the TIEC development agreement revision and zoning amendments and schedule two public hearings, was removed from the agenda at the request of TIEC.
County Manager Marche Pittman introduced Josh Kennedy, newly hired to head the Consolidated Human Services Agency after a long search.
Bill Kerns gave a report on the work of SCORE (formerly the Service Corps of Retired Executives but now just SCORE, as it includes the not-yet-retired).
SCORE volunteers provide help to upstart businesses to help them succeed. According to SCORE's website, every year, SCORE volunteers help thousands of entrepreneurs start small businesses and achieve new levels of success in their existing businesses. You can click on https://www.score.org to find out more about getting help from SCORE or about being a SCORE volunteer helper.
